UMBC does not engage in high-pressure recruitment tactics such as multiple unsolicited contacts (3 or more), including contacts by phone, email, or in-person, and engaging in same-day recruitment and registration for the purpose of securing Service member enrollments.

If you are a service member, before submitting an application for admission to UMBC, please contact your Educational Services Officer (ESO) or counselor within your military service for approval.

Transfer Credit Policy Updates
UMBC has revised its policy on the awarding of undergraduate transfer credits. This policy change allows academic coursework taken through military occupational specialties or other coursework to be considered for transfer credit. For more information please review Section D of the Policy on the Awarding of Undergraduate Transfer Credit.
